In August of 1996 Debbie, Becki, Josh, and myself took a camping trip along the North Shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota. We were able to camp within feet of Lake Superior and listen to the waves lapping on the shore as we went to sleep. One of the things that we enjoyed was watching the moon and stars from the lake shore - It was a beautiful site.

We roamed up into Northern Minnesota and enjoyed the scenery then down to the coast where we had this wonderful view of the Lake from a rest stop. The rest of the scenery was just as beautiful as this shot.

Once along the shoreline area we explored many of the State Parks and wayside rests, and enjoyed many streams, rivers and falls such as this. We even tried swimming up to one fall, but the force of the water was just to much, so we settled for a swim in Lake Superior later. I'm not sure which was worse, the rushing water at the falls, or the extremely cold water of Lake Superior! It was loads of fun however.

While exploring the parks we saw many interesting plants and animals. The above flower was found still blooming in one of the parks deep in the forest near one of the many streams that we explored.
