On Saturday October 19th, 1996 Josh (who is a Webelos scout this year) and myself attended a campout for all Webelos scouts in this area. It was attended by a large number of children and their attending parents/guardians/mentors.
The camp is intended to both provide a fun time while learning and gaining experience in some of the activities that Webelos need to have a knowledge of to grow in themselves and become better people.
Once a Webelos scout meets requirements for a particular topic they earn an Activity Pin for that topic. Many of the topics that are specified were represented at the camp for the scouts to gain some knowledge.
In addition there were many fun things at the camp including the opportunity to examine a National Guard Cobra Helicopter at close range, and watch it land and takeoff.
