Today we got up and visited the local area some more, then headed up to Augusta Georgia where we stayed the night. In the Charleston area on Sunday we went back to the Patriot's Point area and visited some more interesting sites in the area.
Here is the beach just to the east of Patriot's Point.
And here is a mailbox that we saw in the neighborhood near Patriot's Point, and a local fort.
Here are some pictures from Fort Moultrie. This fort was established back before the revolutionary war and was still active thru World War II when it served as a shore defense site and command post. On display were many of the older weapons that were stationed there at various times. They restored various sections of the site to appear as they would at different times during the fort's service.
