I'll leave today with only one picture. This is a shot of some of the helicopters that I was
seeing flying over the beach/ocean area of Newport Beach nearly continually. There is a large
Marine Corp. Training base located just inland (in Irvine) from where I was. It is located very near
the Orange County "John Wayne" Airport. In addition to very many of these type helicopters
I would occasionally get to see some even larger ones. Also, just
a short distance from the beach that I like to frequent there is a California Hwy Patrol station that
serves as a landing facility for some of their helicopters. All in all it is quite a busy place in the air
around here.
