Busy day of stops. First down to San Diego and a visit to the Science Museum. I'd pass on this if
I were you. I did not find it spectacularly interesting. I found the small display of the Star Trek stuff to
be one of the most interesting:
Afterward I went to the nearby Aerospace Museum. This one is a winner if you are interested in
Airplanes or Aerospace related items. They have many mockups, reproductions and full size actual
items and aircraft. Did you know that the Spirit of St. Louis (Lindberg's airplane that was the first to
be flown Non-Stop across the Atlantic) was made in San Diego. Here is one of the Full Size
Aircraft displayed a PBY amphibious aircraft circa WWII:
Then it was off to visit with Shamu the Whale at Sea World in San Diego. They have many wildlife
displays that are both funny and educational at the same time. In addition to the shows they also have
may static displays around the park:
After Sea World I drove up the Coastline and found a nice beach. I took a relaxing walk and watched
a beautiful sunset over the ocean.
