There is an image on my silver screen
I make believe is you,
Even though I can not see your face
Make-believe will have to do.

Then even though you don't appear
What I picture you to be,
The words you write upon the screen
Make you very special to me.

Through these words we have become
The very best of friends,
Words that stay within the heart
With love that never ends.

Only you can start my day
With "good morning how are you?"
Then end it with "good bye my friend"
When our chat is all but through.

Only you would send a card each day
Even though we're far apart,
With words of love and friendship
Words right from the heart.

If I could reach into this silver screen
I would extend my arms to you,
I would thank you for being the friend you are
Cause only you make this come true.
