296. Green Superior Court. Sept. Term, 1809. The Grand Jury for the county, impressed with the high importance of having the claims extinguished of Whitney & Miller, arising under their Patent Right of making Saw Gins for cleaning cotton… recommend and instruct their next Representation to the General Assembly, to use their endeavors to procure the content of the Legislature in quieting the claim of the Patent Right; by levying an equitable Tax on the uses of those kind of Machines. 448. Notice. The public are hereby forewarned not to trade for the following notes of hand, viz, one for $400 due from Gen. David Adams of Hancock co., and one for $200 due by Procer Horton of Jackson… (did not copy the following page)

607. Sheriff's Sale. Will Be Sold, On the first Tues. in Dec. next at the Court-House in Clark Co., the following property; 50 acres in Clark co. on Wolf creek, granted to Williamson, joining Suttles and others, executed as property of Stephen Suttles at the instance of David Clark. Also, 150 acres on the Appalachee, granted to Clark, joining Isaac Suttles and others, executed as the property of Buckner Eves to satisfy sundry executions against Eves and Starling Price, levied by David Day, Constable, and retured to me. Conditions cash. John Selman, D.S. Nov. 1st, 1810.

713. We observe advertised as in the Jail of Edgefield Dist., SC, a Negro fellow by the name of Joe, who says he belongs to Maj. James Cochran of Jackson co. Also in the gail of Greenville, a Boy by the name of Jack, who says he belongs to a Mr. Price, in the upper part of GA.

1395. Sheriff's Sale. On the first Tues. in Aug. next, in the town of Lexington, Oglethorpe co., will be sold… One bay mare, saddle and bridle, levied on as the property of Ezekiel Price to satisfy an execution in favor of Charles Wheeler and James Long, Executors of Joseph Long, deceased, property pointed out by said Price. 1438. Sheriff's Sale. Will be sold on the first Tues. in Sept. next, at the court house in the co. of Jackson, the following property, viz. 130 acres on the Mulberry, adjoining Menifee, levied on as the property of George Weatherby to satisfy an excecution in favor of John Tarrance. Also, one negro man by the name of Gill, levied on by a constable and returned to me as the property of James Cauldwell at the instance of Charles Price… W. McKinney, Sheriff. July 28, 1815

1815. On Sat. night last an effort was made to break out of the Penitentiary by one fo the convicts (Price) as hardened and desperate  villian as ever was the tenant of a prison. He had by some means procured a knife, with which he had made great progress before it was discovered in cutting away the planks and removing the bricks of the outer wall… The convict alluded to, possesses an extraordinary faculty of releasing himself almost at pleasure from chains - and tears to pieces with his teeth the strongest padlocks with apparent ease.
