Fifth Generation
Elias Isbell (Robert, Eleazer, Robert, Eleazer), son of Eleazer and (1) wife Elizabeth (Bishop) Isbell, born Killingworth, Conn., February 5, 1747-48, died there, February 6, 1834. Married there, September 24,  1772, Temperance Ward, born there, April 9, 1752 died 1829, daughter of James and Mary (Wilcox) Ward.
Elias Isbell and his son, John, were among the first organizers and builders of Emmanuel Episcopal Church at North Killingworth, then North Bristol. Elias and Temperance (Ward) Isbell owned the Covenant, September 18, 1774 at Second Church of Killingworth, and he was a Reader at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 1808-1822.

Mr. and Mrs Isbell observed their Golden Wedding Anniversary September 24, 1822.

The Isbell homestead, built by Elias Isbell around 1780, is still (1943) standing. He was a farmer and also had a shop where carriages were upholstered and sleds and carts were made.

Elias Isbell served in the War of the Revolution, 1777, "Drummer in Capt. Bezeliel Bristol's Co."
