Violet's Paintings

These are some of the paintings I've done of friends', and my own cats. If you would like me to do one of your cat, email me and I'll see what I can do. Remember, these aren't supposed to be exact copies of the cats themselves. I'm not that good yet -- but I hope to get better as I get used to the Wacom Art Pad and Dabbler, the two tools I used to make these paintings. I also hope to get some of my other (and better, I think -- I'm not that good with cats) paintings, so visit this site regularly. The paintings are copyright Miaviolet, please don't copy or use them without my written permission.

P.S. To the humans of the cats here: it's always appreciated to sign my guestbook, don't you think? *smile* No, I'm not forcing you to sign my guestbook, but please do anyway... by way of thanks -- I'm not asking much, am I?... *smile*

This is a picture of Hope, aka Babycat Jo (watercolor and ink techinque -- I think). Visit her at Hope's Mom's Page

This is an "impression" of a furbaby of Raylene, Anastasia. Raylene has eight more furchildren. Visit them at RaysCats.

And of course, my darling cats, Peaches & Cream (there isn't really that much shadow from the pic I used as a guide). Aren't they adorable? *smile*

This is Remy, Rebecca's furbaby. He now waits for her at Rainbow Bridge. The pic I used as a guide was quite dark, so I also softened the outline to create a shadowy effect, on top of painting it. I think this is my best painting so far... partly because it wasn't very detailed and thus easier :-)

This is Misty, Carol (Misty's Mom)'s darling kitty. I finished this one in the record pace of 1 hour and 30 minutes, at about 9 in the morning *grin* (okay, I admit it -- I was rushing the painting. sorry!).

This is Tux, Barbntux's turkish angora. He's beautiful, isn't he? But this painting doesn't do him justice; click here for his picture.

This cute kitty is Lobos, Rebecca's Rainbow Angel. Do you think this painting looks like the picture I used as I guide? I don't know... click here for my guide picture.

This is Bogey, an Ocicat. He won in the belly wave awards at Cat Slave's Cat House. His eyes are lovely, don't you think?

This is Callie. Isn't she gorgeous? And, I'm getting better at painting, I think. Probably because I spent several hours on this one, and Bogey's painting, and have been practicing a lot lately.

This is Sasha. I was feeling a little Christmas-y when I painted it, thus the red and green background...

And last, but certainly not the least, Leo. Leo owns SueCat. I really enjoyed painting him -- he's so cute!
