Milwaukee 1004-
She is a G-8 class ten wheeler that was built by Baldwin in 1901
as a class B-4. She originally was numbered in the 300's series,
and went through several renumberings before she was upgraded in
1939, given a tender from a scrapped prairie and numbered from 2604.
That pic has my dad in it, and it is taken in Austin, MN July 17th,
1957 at the final resting place for 1004 - The Mower County Fairgrounds.
They were just getting done with the 3-day move through the
city streets. She has temporary track underneath that was used to
move her.
Harold Davison, a family friend, was the photographer.
