"his" engine the No. 2 Hiawatha.  I believe his run was from Chicago to Milwaukee.  He was engineer of this in the 30s and 40s

My Great Grandfather, Henry L. Kent's steam engine.  Henry was an engineer for the Milwaukee Road from about 1870 to 1919 when he retired.  He was born in 1850 in Milwaukee.
He started in Milwaukee, where he had the Milwaukee to Chicago run and then moved to Deerfield where he had the Deerfield to Chicago run.  The picture is somewhere around 1890.  Taken in Deerfield, IL.  My great grandfather is in the cab of #801.   Interestingly, Henry's brothers Will and Frank Kent were on his engine too.  Will was the conductor and
I believe Frank was the fireman.
