My Great Grandparents
I received these pictures a few years ago. They came to me in a large garbage bag, with the pictures being separated with hospital bed protectors. The pictures are 19.5 X 13.5 in size, with large plaster frames on them. They also have oval bubbled glass in the frames with no cracks. The pictures themselves had molded inside the frames and an attempt had been made to get the mold off, causing deep scratches. Tressie's face was really a mess. She had no part of her nose and only one eye. I was so heartbroken, as these photo's are over 100 years old. They were taken about 1898, before they were married.
After several years of searching for someone to work on them, I finally found them in Medford, Oregon.
Digimatrix did a wonderful job of restoring the photos.
Moses Emmett Bright was born January 25,1875 to George S. Bright & Priscilla Jane Skaggs. His birth took place in Hopkinsville KY., Christian County.
On October 8,1899, he married Tressie Vilena Floyd in Cooper, TX. Tressie was born to Jackson Columbus Floyd & Emmaline Wilson on October 19,1877 in Nathan AR.
Both Moses and Tressie died in Idabel, OK, Moses, May 25,1950 at the age of 75 and Tressie, December 25,1950 at the age of 73.
