Snake On My Birthday Cake
There's a BUG in my rug.
That's a matter of fact.
A GREEN, DOTTED BUG,
Whom no one could love,
Crawling so fast.
OH HUMBUG!
In the middle of my rug.There's a BABY SQUIRREL
In my baby doll's curls.
She will TWIRL AND TWIRL.
No more squirrel in her pretty curls.There's a SNAKE on my BIRTHDAY CAKE
We'll call it a SNAKE CAKE And not,
Goodness Sakes,
A BIRTHDAY CAKE.How did that LIZARD
Get on my chicken gizzard?
I can't eat
With that LIZARD on my gizzard.
I'll find a fly for the lizzard,
Then feed my cat the gizzard.There's a BEE on my knee,
Sticking his tongue out at me.
It's not funny, that BEE on my knee.
You'd better be GONE when I count to three,
Or you'll BE in BEE heaven and not on me.
There's a TROLL under my bed.
OH! I'M SO SCARED!
A TROLL under my bed.
I'll just pull the covers over my head,
Then fall asleep instead
And dream of fairies
DANCING overhead.There's a FLEA on my dog,
A BIG FLEA on my dog,
GULP, says my dog,
NO big flea on me.
HEE,HEE,HEE!
NO flea on me.You probably wonder if all this is true.
Was there a BUG in my rug,
A BABY SQUIRREL in my baby doll's curls,
A SNAKE on my BIRTHDAY CAKE,
A LIZARD on my chicken gizzard,
A TROLL under my bed,
A BIG FLEA on my dog,
A BEE on my knee?I'll tell you best I can .
There's NO BUG IN MY RUG
NO BABY SQUIRREL in my baby doll's curls,
NO SNAKE in my BIRTHDAY CAKE,
NO LIZARD on my chicken qizzard,
NO TROLL under my bed,
NO BIG FLEA on my dog,
NO BEE on my knee.All I wanted was a FRIEND
Like YOU
To stay
And PLAY
While we still have today.
PLEASE say
"YES",
You'll stay and play
