13 Mar 1614/15 Francis Brewster, buttermaker, was placed as an apprentice to Edward Harris of the city of Bristol, barber surgeon, for seven years. In 1622 Francis completed his apprenticeship and was admitted to the barber surgeon guild. 1641, New Haven Colony records indicate Francis had a family of nine and an estate of 1000 pounds.

Jonas, leaving his eldest son Georg Thilmann and his daughter Justinia Maria in Winningen, removed with his two remaining children to Bendorf. This town is located on the right bank of the Rhine River, four miles below Coblentz. Jonas established a tannery at Bendorf, and became a prominent citizen and an assessor of the court. After his second wife's death, he married the widow Elisabetta Pistoris. Elisabetta died at the age of eighty in 1742.

Johann Wilhelm came to Bendorf in 1688 with Jonas Moelich, from Winningen, a town on the Moselle, four miles west of Coblentz. There is every reason to believe that if not the son, he was at least a nephew of Jonas. There is no record of the death of Johann Wilhelm in Bendorf. He evidently removed from there after the death of his wife in 1729, and is said to have emigrated. No record of him has been found in America; had he been there his youngest son, Gottfried, would hardly have remained until his maturity as the ward of his eldest brother Johannes.
