INDEX

[NI12354] Michael VanDerCook was one of the first settlers on Cook's Patent in May 1762. He was a Revolutionary War Patriot, serving for the duration of the war as a member of the Schagticoke Committee of Correspondence.

[NI12355] Cornelia's burial marker no longer exists. According to the research notes of a VanDerCook family historian, her footstone could be seen until fairly recently (2004), but that has since disappeared as well. Cornelia lies buried next to her husband Michael.

[NI12361] Simon served as an Ensign in the 14th Regt. Albany County Militia during the Revolutionary War.

[NI11430] Henry VanDerCook first volunteered as a minute man at the oubreak of the Revolutionary War. He later served as a private, corporal, then sergeant in the 14th Regiment of the Albany County Militia. His widow made a pension application (W26615) in 1837. Henry's service is outlined in this pension application.
