Stephen Osborn came to Ohio in 1809 with his father Joshua and settled in Southington township, Trumbull Co. He came to Bristol township in 1830. He first settled upon the turnpike south of the center, and here resided about 20 years, then moved to his farm. He had 134 acres of good land. He was quite a hunter and trapper in his day, and took much pride in exhibiting his old wolf-trap. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Stephen had a brand registered 26 May 1834 - crop and slit in right ear and half crop on underside of left ear.

Peter and Anna lived for a time near Conewago Creek, York Co., PA. Later they moved to Bedford Co., VA. Later still, Peter and Christina lived in Botetourt Co., VA, near Fincastle. He was a farmer. Peter was active in the "Dunkard" Church, both at Conewago Creek and after their move to Botetourt Co. Peter was a member of the Standing Committee at the 1763 Annual Meeting at the Conestoga Congregation at Lancaster, PA. After Peter's death, Christina made her home with her son John near Fincastle, VA, until John moved to Ohio in 1817. She then lived with her daughter Catherine Ammen until her death.

John and Kathy lived the first 17 years of their married lives in Virginia, Bedford and Botetourt Counties; then moved to Highland Co., Ohio; then to Union Co., Indiana. In 1833 they moved to Des Moines Co., Iowa and lived there the rest of their lives. John was a farmer, and acquired much property in the Des Moines area. They were Dunkards, and were loyal members of the church. They opened their home for meetings of the congregation before a church house was built.
