Joined the Marine Corps.
Nov. 30, 1975, graduated boot camp went to Infantry Tranning School at
Camp Pendleton, California...From there the GY went to Okinawa, Japan for
duty with the 3rd BN 4th Marines L Co. Which at that time was a LONG 12
months.
Went to Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan & Mt Fuji and trained
with the Rock Marines and participated in the 1st exercise in Korea. From
Oki. the GY went back to the States to Camp Pendleton, for fun in the sand
and duty with 3/5 B Co., that was really fun, I was a Lcpl Squad Leader.
Went to Bridgeport, Ca. for the rock package, promoted to Cpl meritoriously.
My 3 yrs. were up and I enlisted for four more yrs. to go to Barstow, Ca.
for duty with Tow Co. was promoted to Sgt.. Two yrs. later trasnsferred
to Recruiting School, which I passed. Then I went to the 8th MCD Dallas,
Texas spent one yr. in Abilene. In Abilene was promoted to SSgt, then later
transferred to Hurst, Texas outside Forth Worth, finished Successful tour
and went back to Barstow, Ca., for duty at the Rifle Range NCOIC, spent
3 glorious yrs. there and was assigned with MCB Camp Pendleton... "GOOD-GOLLY"???
was assigned to go to the Infantry Training School, B Co. and was a Plt
Leader CMDR. And later at H&S Co. as Company Gunny, OORRAAHHHHHHHH!! |
