We All Need To Be Aware That Cancer Can Strike Anyone at Anytime !

It doesn't matter that you were bad or good, that mean and terrible thing happens!

Sometimes I wonder if we are being tested. 'No one is Untouched'

My little angels will watch over this web site and protect it for Alex!

My name is Charles Gerlach. I am Alex's Opa (Grandpa). The pictures you have

just viewed are of my Alex and three other grandsons. My wife Brigitte and I live

in Virginia, Alex lives down in Florida. Alex was diagnosed with a brain tumor

called 'medulloblastoma'.

He just turned 6 years old, and he started to school on his first grade, which

was on his first day. Can you remember the first day you all started to school?

Well, I can, I started off in a little 3 room schoolhouse many years ago, I was

scared of the teacher and of being away from home the very first time. He now

must carry that remembrance with him, of his first day. This page is dedicated to

telling you the story of Alex.

Now my brave little lad is coping with that terrible thing called cancer and its

treatments. My prayers are with him. He will begin both Radiation and

Chemotherapy treatments starting next week for 48 long weeks.

Medulloblastoma for most people, it is hard to describe, it is a tumor that is in

the posterior fossa, or to the rear of the brain. Surgery, radiation therapy, and

chemotherapy are used to treat this type of cancer 'medulloblastoma'.

Please Keep Alexander in Your Hearts and Prayers!
