This page views the Covers from the original series

Which are in the process of being reissued

However, after what all of us "Thieves' World" followers consider a much too long hiatus,

the award-winning series has returned!

Lynn Abbey has successfully transported all of her fans from the early world of Santuary to the next generation of it's inhabitants. The full-lenghth novel features Molin Torchholder as the sole survivor of those past inhabitants, as he tells us of how Sanctuary has declined and arisen from the ashes, but once more, as the den of thieves and conspirators.

The new title "Sanctuary" is a historic transportation and a "must read" for all "Thieves' World" fans in order to get to know the next generation of Santuary's shady characters

No, the Hell Hounds weren't stupid. Tough, excellent swordsmen and seasoned veterans, they seldom set foot in the Maze, and never entered the Vulgar Unicorn. On the west side of town, it was said that one only came here if he was seeking death . . . or selling it. As rational men, the Hell Hounds were unlikely to put in an appearance at the Maze's most notorious tavern.

It was dusk when Hakiem emerged from the Wine Barrel. Lengthening shadows hid the decay he had noticed earlier. On an impulse, the storyteller decided to walk along the piers before returning to the Maze. The rich smells of the ocean filled his nostrils and a slight breeze snatched at his robes as ahe digested Omat's story. The disappearance of the Old Man and his son was but the latest in a series of unusual occurrences: the war brewing to the north; the raid on Jubal's estate; and athe disappearance and later reappearance of both Tempus and One-Thumb - all were like the rumble of distant thunder hearalding a tempest of monumetal plroportions. Omat had said the storm season was months off, but not all storms were forged by nature. Something was coming; the storyteller could feel it in the air and see it in the faces of the people on the streets - though he could no more have put a name to it than they could have.

Though only half S'danzo, the cards were still her trade and she owed it to her clan to discover any intruders into their secrets.
