State of Tennessee - County of Williamson In the name of God, Amen.
I, William Ogilvie, of the county of Williamson, and State of Tennessee,being in perfect sense and memory, but calling to mind themortality of man, that it is appointed for all men once to die,do make and ordain this my last will and testament, disannuling and revoking all other wills, heretofore by me made.
First and principally, I give and bequeath my
soul unto the hands of the Almighty God who gave
it to me and my body to the earth to be buried in a Christian manner at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named, and all the worldly goods it hath pleased God to bless me with I give, divide, and dispense of manner and form following:
Inprimus I give and bequeath to my son Richard Ogilvie
the land and plantation whereon I now live containing by
estimation three hundred and fifteen acres of land, be the
same more or less. Also one still, and one shotgun, to him
and his heirs for ever.
Item. I give and bequeath to my daughter, Nancy Allison,
my negro man named Pompey, and my negro woman
named Juniper, also all my stock of horses, cattle, and
sheep that I have at home. Also all my household and kitchen
furniture to her and her heirs forever!
Item. I also give and bequeath to my son Richard Ogilvie
all my stock of cattle that is in the care of Henry Allison in
Rutherford County. Also all my stock of hogs that I have at home to him and his heirs forever with my shear of grain made on the plantation.
Item. I give and bequeath to the remainder of my children what I
put into their hands at this place (___________________) from me. Harris Ogilvie, Smith Ogilvie, Kimbrough Ogilvie,
William Ogilvie, John Ogilvie, Sally Allison, Patty Manire and Nancy Allison. Also all my money and my money
debts either by bond,bill book, or open accounts with my share of the whiskey that is made at the distillery divided between them to them (?).
Lastly, I appoint, constitute and ordain my son-in-law,
James Allison and my son Richard Ogilvie to be the executors
of this my last will and testament in Witness whereof
I have hereunto set my hand and seal this

While Last will and testament before recited duly proven in
open court April Session, 1813 by the others of
John White and the subscribing witnesses then to be
the act and (?) of William Ogilvie and the same was
ordered to be recorded and James Allison and Richard Ogilvie the executors therein named came into court and testified as Executors therefore and received leters testamentary.signed,
