The Last Will and Testament
of Jacob T. Miller
In the name of God Amen:
I, Jacob T. Miller of the precinct of Logan in the County
of Massac and State of Illinois of the age of Sixty-
Seven years and being of sound mind and memory make
publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in
manner following that is to say:
First - I give and bequeath to my wife Elizabeth P. Miller
the sum of Four Hundred Dollars to be accepted and
received by her as heir of donor.
Second - I give and bequeath to my Grand daughter,
Elizabeth Taylor Miller, daughter, daughter of Philex Miller, deceased
Three Hundred Dollars.
Third - I give and bequeath to my grand children Harvey
Douglas, Stephen A. Douglas, Hansford Douglas, Rolla
N. Douglas, Otto Douglas and Ollie May Douglas sons
and daughters of Mary A. C. Douglas deceased Three
Hundred Dollars.
Fourth - I give and bequeath to my Grand Sons, Frank
Starks and Charley Starks son's of Liza Ellen Starks
deceased Three Hundred Dollars.
And Lastly - I hereby appoint James D. Bayless as
my sole Executor of my last will and Testament
with [the] following instructions:
First - That all legacy's above set forth be paid
within one year after my decease to the heirs above
named.
Second - That he the said Executor after my demise
and after paying Legacy's as above set forth to parties
therein named divide equally the residue and remainder
of all my real and personal estate mortgages, goods
and chattels of what nature or kind what ever between
my legal heirs.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
seal this Sixth day of July in the year of Our Lord
One Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety-Five

signed, sealed published and declared by the said Jacob T.
Miller as and for his Last Will and Testament in presence
of us who at his request and in his presence and in presence of
