Costs
At the Museum Friday evening,
$6 Ceilidh (Scot music & talent show) from 7:00PM to 9:30 PM
(The Museum does not charge us to enter the building Friday evening,
but to attend ceilidh you will have to buy $6 ticket at the door upstairs.)
At the Museum Saturday,
events outside the building are free.
The only Tartan Fest events
held outside the building will be
the Children's Games & Scottish Wrestling.
For Tartan Fest inside the Museum,
one must pay the museum admission fees:
$5 - 18 and over
$4 - 62 and over, college, military (all with ID)
$2 - 6-17
$0 - Under 6 free
NO unaccompanied children under 13

    Tartan Fest things inside the Museum are:
  1. Clan tables, fashion show, dance demos, piping, etc.
    all free with admission to the museum.
  2. Tartan Fest Scottish Symposium.
    Topics include genealogy, storytelling,
    and Scottish country dancing.
    Fee $22 ($24 at the door), includes lunch.

There will be 5 vendors and 8 or 9 clan/association tables.
Scottish Wrestling will be at the Museum
Sat. 6 April outside the building.
Max McDougald of Salisbury NC will be in charge.
Releases and kilts are being taken care of by Max.*
Parents will need to sign a release
for wrestlers not of legal age to sign for themselves.*
He has enough kilts for the wrestlers.*
Adult Scottish Wrestling will be in the morning, if any show up.
Kids (& teens) Scottish Wrestling will be start at 2:30 & run until finished.
There are 4 youth divisions, including teens.*
Medals have been ordered by Bill McCullough*.
The medals will have the Tartan Fest logo on them.
There will be a 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place medal
for each of 4 age groupings.
Not sure if there will be medals for the adult group or not.

Table Space and Set-Up:

Eight foot tables and two chairs are available free of charge as long as space is available; however, we would 
appreciate your placing an advertisement In our Souvenior Program to help with expenses. See enclosed 
advertising flyer.

Set-up: The museum will allow set up from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, April 5. 
         You MAY be open during the Ceilidh from 7:00PM to 9:30 PM Friday. 
         Your table MUST be staffed Saturday, April 6 from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM.


Rules and Regulations:

Failure to abide by these rules may result in your not being allowed to return next year.

1) Space preference will be given to those who participated the previous year. 
2) Clans/associations are required to provide their own liability insurance. 
3) Tartan Fest reserves the right to accept or reject any application.
4) Tartan Fest is a festival to honor the contributions of Scottish Americans to the history and
       culture of South Carolina and the nation. Banners, flags or signs not relating to Scottish culture will not 
       be allowed, i.e. no Irish, Italian, German, Greek, Confederate, Black Unity or other banners will be flown 
       or promoted during the festival.
