The Ragsdale List was probably first formed at rmgate.pop.indiana.edu and
the 1st post was 8 July 1996, but to be 100% sure, one should ask Harold
Helm, the listowner. For those curious or wanting to remember, below are
the old instructions. They have not worked since about May 9, 1997. That
was approximately the date that Larry Stephens informed all the listowners
using rmgate.pop.indiana.edu that rmgate.pop.indiana.edu had been spammed
badly & his superiors were saying we'd all need to find new homes for our
lists & that the lists are all non-functional effective immediately. By
27 May 1997 the lists were moving into RootsWeb.Com.

I have struck through the instructions so people will not overlook the

memory lane.
