leh. Unter der Leitung von Andreas Anderegg und Bernhard Zumbrunn ist der Schwingclub Meiringen bestrebt, den Nachwuchs optimal zu fördern. Nun dürfen die Früchte der Anstrengungen geerntet werden. Mit Matthias Glarner und Simon Anderegg hat der Club zwei Jungschwinger, die sich an die Spitze herantasten.

Wie der Vater, so der Sohn und der Neffe. Alle sind sie gleichsam vom Schwingsport begeistert. An-dreas Anderegg, in den Jahren 1976 bis 1984 aktiver Kranzschwinger, wirkt heute als Trainer. Der elfjährige Simon tritt nun in die Fussstapfen seines Vaters. Angesteckt vom Schwingfieber des Cousins, liess sich der zwölfjährige Matthias Glarner nicht lange bitten und stieg ebenfalls in die Zwilchhosen. Seit drei Jahren schwingen beide mit Begeisterung für den Meiringer Club. Simon und Matthias motivieren sich gegenseitig. Der Erfolg dieser harmonischen Trainingsgemeinschaft blieb nicht aus. Zahlreiche Zweige, Glocken und «Geschnitztes» zieren die Zimmer der Buben.

Einmal in der Woche treffen sich Simon und Matt-hias im Meiringer Schwingkeller. Hier feilen sie vorwiegend an ihrer Technik. So übt Matthias den Kniestich, Hüfter wie Brienzer und verrät, dass «am Boden iibüüren» seine Spezialität sei. Im Gegensatz dazu beherrscht Simon den Übersprung und Hochschwung hervorragend. Die Sportler verinnerlichen Griffe und Stellungen zusätzlich noch an Schwingkursen, die jeweils im Vorfeld einer Saison durchgeführt werden. Die Kondition verbessern beide Nachwuchstalente durch ein Lauftraining. «Den Kraftkeller meiden wir vorläufig bewusst», sagt Trainer Anderegg. Nach seiner Auffassung gilt im Jungschwingeralter das Hauptaugenmerk der Technik.

Matthias Glarner und Simon Anderegg nehmen im Jahr an rund fünfzehn Schwingfesten teil. Der «Ätti-, Möeti-, Bruder- und Schwesterfanclub» begleitet die jungen Sportler meistens. Nein, das sonntägliche Frühaufstehen mache ihnen nichts aus, beteuern sie. So ein Sporttag sei spannend. Zwar sind die Buben im Sägemehlring Einzelkämpfer. Nebst der Arena pflegen sie aber eine herzliche Kameradschaft zu ihren «Gegnern». «Wir kennen uns alle gut. Wir essen gemeinsam zu Mittag», erzählt Matthias. Simon hat gar einen Schwingerfreund gefunden. Der Kirchberger Matthias Sempach hat bei ihm die letzten Sommerferien verbracht.

Dass Schwingen einzig ein Sport für Ländlerfreunde und Traditionsbewusste ist, widerlegen die beiden Buben lachend. Klar, hören sie volkstümliche Klänge. An einem Schwingfest passe diese Unterhaltung, meinen beide. «Sonst aber», findet Matthias, «darfs ruhig etwas fetziger sein».
