David & Thos. J. Long to Matthew Broom
of 123 acres 14 Nov 1827

The State of South Carolina
Know all men by these presents that we David Long and Thomas Long of the District of Fairfield in the State aforesaid in consideration of the sum of three hundred and twenty six dollars to us paid by Matthew Broom of the District and State aforesaid have granted, bargained, sold and release and by these presents do grant, bargain sell and release unto the said Matthew Broom all that plantation on tract of land containing one hundred and twenty three acres being part of a tract of one hundred acres originally granted to George Keane the 3rd day of April 1772 and part also of a tract of the hundred acres originally granted to Isaac Heathcock the 24 day of December 1772 and is that part of the estate of William Broom dec'd which he devised to his Daughter Elizabeth Long and her heirs and is marked and known in the general plat of the said William Broom estate to which his will has referenced with the name of Elizabeth Long 123 acres no 8. Situate on a branch of Little Cedar Creek Waters of Broad River in the District of Fairfield bordering to the N W and W on lands of Archibald Haigood to the S W on David Long and to the East S E on Matthew Broom's land. Together with all singular the rights of Members, hired Tenants and appurtenances unto the said premises belonging to in any these incident or appertaining to have and to hold all singular the said premises unto the said Matthew Broom, and assigns forever and do hereby bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators to warrant and forever defend all and singular the said premises unto the said Matthew Broom his heirs and assigns against ourselves and our heirs and against every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof. Witness our hands and seals this the fourteenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven and on the fifty first year of the independence of the United States of America.
