My g-g-g-grandmother was Esther Coots, b. 1778, Guilford County, NC;
died 1836, Wartrace, Tenn.
She married William Dickerson and had the following children:
Mary Ann b. 1808;
Rebecca Elizabeth b. 1810;
Letitia Jane b.1811;
James Warner b. 1815.

Esther's father was John Coots and her mother may have been Mary McQuiston.
They had 6 daughters:
Elizabeth b. 1768;
Lavinia b. 1770;
Polly b. 1772;
Rebecca b. 1774;
Letitia b.1776;
Esther.

I think John Coots was from NC but moved to Tennessee.
I can't place him with any family further back.
