On Monday May 10th, 1999 I travelled to the Tijuana Christian Mission. They bring the gospel of Christ to the people of Mexico by providing a children's home and establishing Christian Churches in Tijuana, Baja California, and Oxaca. |

Sara, the daughter of the founder, Martha Lopez, lives at the mission, helps care for the children, and makes financial miracles happen through her fundraising efforts. |

This is looking at the center court of the Mission. The lower right building houses the cafeteria (below), the lower left houses a chapel and administration offices, upstairs are the dormatories. The two vans pictured are part of Sara's miracle finance efforts. |

This is looking toward the courtyard from the founders residence. The upper left portion of the structures is still being built and is for housing new staff members. The new buildings are being built with help from Churches across Canada and the US. |

This is the cafeteria, which can accomodate approx 80 people. The food is donated by area churches, and approx 50 percent is left over and shared with needy people in the area. |

Here is the kitchen area where staff serve three meals daily with the limited resources available to them. |

Here I am, with a donkey named Ruben who was bleached to look like a zebra. This is the nicer tourist area in Tijuana. This is usually all visitors see when visitng the Mexican city, but beyond the commercial offerings, there are cardboard houses and over 240,000 homeless children. |
