How to set up a web page for a border background
This site is best viewed set at 800x600 resolution
1). Use a table with two cells.
2). Choose top from the options for the first cell
3). Make the first cell a tiny bit wider than the border
4). Place a transparent gif spacer in the first cell.
To make the transparent gif the same size as the cell width click on the
gif till your courser turns into a two headed arrow and drag to fill the
border width. This works both for netscape and microsoft explorer.
I have included a transparent gif with each border set in a
zip file, or you can right click here to save
5). You can also use html to set up your page
After the body section of your html code for your page
as
<BODY TEXT=#000000"
Type <UL>
And at the end of the page again find the BODY code as
</BODY>
Right below this type
</UL>
You may have to add the above code more than once in both places
to get the desired effect. This is a little harder to work with than
the gif, as you can not see the results until you save and view the page.
I prefer to use the transparent gif, but both methods work.
