There are two main lines of McCallister's in WV. They are referred to as J43 and J04 by Clan McAllister of America.

J43: This line consists of descendants of Joseph McCallister born about 1780 & his probable brother James born 1776 in VA.

This IS MY line. If you are from my line I would love for you to email me so I can get your info. See the J43 report for detailed notes I have on this line based on what I know as of 27 Nov 1998. People born after 1920 who are still living are deleted from the report. 

J04: This line consists of descendants of James McAllister supposedly born 1730 in Ireland.

Please note that J04 IS NOT MY LINE. If you are from that line, your best bet would be to contact Howard Browne who is the database keeper for that line. See the J04 report for detailed notes I have on this line based on what I know as of 27 Nov 1998. Please don't contact me saying "Hey, we're cousins!" Read the above disclaimer please. People born after 1920 who are still living are deleted from the report.  I highly question previous genealogies on this family concerning the progenitor and his wife. You be the judge! HENSLEY: I am not really researching Hensley. My ancestor Jason Rice McCallister was born out of wedlock in 1850 between Cynthia McCallister and an unknown Hensley. Have you heard any rumors about this? Cynthia's sister did marry Fretwell Hensley. See Hensley report for ALL I know on Hensley.
