LEPORE FAMILY REUNION IN ITALY
with Joyce and Ben Lepore, Jr.
ITINERARY
Mon. Day 1 - DEPART USA - You?re off to Italy on your round trip over night flight from
Philadelphia. Meals served during flight.
Tues. DAY 2 - ARRIVE IN ROME - After we retrieve our luggage we?ll meet with
Rossana, our Tour Guide, and board our air conditioned Tour Bus for a 2 to 3 hour ride to our 3 Star Resort
Beach Hotel in the Abruzzo. Once you check into your room you can comfortably settle down, take an adventure
walk, a stroll on the beach of the Adriatic Sea, or just plain kick back and
rest. Come evening we?ll enjoy an Italian Cuisine dinner deliciously
prepared for us and have an orientation from Rosanna. We?ll update you
on some of the things to expect and answer any questions you may have.

Wed. DAY 3 - VISIT CIVITELLA DEL TRONTO - the birthplace of the Lepore
Grandfathers. After a refreshing night?s sleep we begin a wonderful day
visiting the place where our Great Grandfathers Giuseppe and Luigi Lepore
were born. You?ll visit this wonderful medieval city perched on a
mountain totally surrounded by a stone wall. We?ll enter through the
archway (a thirteenth century gate) that has been there for over 7 hundred
years. You will walk on the same cobble stone and marble streets Guiseppi
and Luigi Lepore walked on a hundred and fifty years ago. Today we are
planning on joining 7 or 8 Lepore families still living there in an
exciting Lepore family reunion. This will be an event that you will
remember for the rest of your life. Our video camera will be recording
every precious moment and this video will be kept with our Lepore Family History Record
for generations to come. YOU WON?T WANT TO MISS THE CHANCE TO BE A PART OF THIS LEPORE LEGACY.

Thurs. DAY 4 - VISIT TERAMO, COMPLI, CAMPOVALANO - Today we?re off to the town
where Sylvan was born. We will first travel through Teramo, the capital
of the province where the Sylvan Lepore family originated. Then we will
travel to Compli another medieval town where his birth record is kept.
This is the same town Sylvan?s dad Giuseppe had to travel to that cold
winter day to have his birth recorded. View the actual birth certificate and have your picture
taken with it. This will make a great keepsake and
an inexpensive souvenir you?ll cherish forever. Now on to Campovalano,
the town where Sylvan was born. You will visit the cemetery and see S.
Pietro Church. This was probably the church where Sylvan was
baptized. Hopefully we?ll find out for sure on this
trip.

Fri. DAY 5 - RESEARCH LEPORE RECORDS - Today we will revisit Civitella Del
Tronto to search through hand written record books dating in the 1800?s and
back to help with our family tree. Some of us will search books in the
1900?s to the present to locate our relatives living in Italy today.
Later you will visit churches in the area for records and burial sites of
Lepore?s. This will truly be a rewarding day that you will never forget. When Joyce and I were
there last year we were able to go back 3 generations
in one day. Unfortunately we didn?t get copies of all the records since
we ran out of time. This is where you can help, paging through books
finding Lepore birth and marriage documents. When you find them we?ll
have copies made to bring back with us to put in our Lepore History Book.
You?ll experience one of the most exciting feelings you ever felt when you
personally find records written over 100 years ago about our family.

Sat. Day 6 - RESEARCH LEPORE RECORDS & WINE TASTING AT THE LEPORE WINERY -
Again today, if we need we can wrap up searching records for our
Lepore History Book. Later we will visit the Lepore Winery in Colonella
and meet Gaspare Lepore. Our plans are to have cheese, crackers and wine
tasting of the many various Lepore wines (red, white, dry, wet, and sweet
wines) produced there today. You will have the opportunity to purchase
your favorite on the spot from Gaspare and/or Luigi Lepore, his
father.

Sun. DAY 7 - RETURN TO ROME AND FREE TO VISIT THE SITES - This morning after
breakfast we will head back to Rome (the eternal city). Upon checking in
to our hotel you will have the option to visit the Coliseum, the Vatican
and the Sistine Chapel at your pleasure. We hope to have itineraries
and prices for you to choose what interests you during your stay. Joyce
and I were there before and we look forward to seeing more this time. You
may want to visit the Lepore?s restaurant ?Conte di Galluccio? in the well known via Veneto,
one of the best restaurants in Rome.

Mon. DAY 8 - FREE DAY TO VISIT THE SITES IN ROME

Tues. DAY 9 - RETURN FLIGHT HOME TO THE USA
