Fifth Grade Supply List

REQUIRED

  1. normal graphite pencils--no mechanical pencils!
  2. dark blue or black ballpoint pens
  3. hopper of some kind (like a cut-down milk jug)
  4. 3 composition books or spiral notebooks (clearly labeled on the front cover with the title and your full name)
    • science lab book
    • language arts journal
    • Big Book Of Stuff
  5. binder with divisions for each class and pockets for homework
  6. healthy supply of white 8.5 x 11 binder paper
  7. calculator
  8. book covers for all hardback books

STRONGLY RECOMMENDED

  1. colored pencils
  2. scissors
  3. ruler
  4. personal pencil sharpener
  5. protractor
  6. drawing compass
  7. glue
  8. black markers, thin- and fat-tipped (you can never have enough of these!)
  9. one or two clear, clean two-liter bottles (with caps)

REQUESTED FOR CLASSROOM MUSIC--NOT REQUIRED!

  1. inexpensive harmonica (key of C)
  2. washboard (from Hollister Super)
  3. expendable set of tablespoons (from the Dollar Tree store)

PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS

  1. mechanical pencils
  2. puffy/colored/sparkly pens
  3. colored and/or oddly-sized binder paper
