NORTHWOOD, MIDDLESEX, ENGLAND
I live in Northwood, Middlesex, England. Northwood is situated just outside North West London (see map below). It is quite a GREEN area and I like living there. We live in a bungalow on a very steep road. There isn't much to do in Northwood itself - there are two main shopping parades, but that's about all really. There is a lot to do in Watford though, which is only a short drive from where I live. There is Warners cinema complex at Woodside Leisure Park - there is also a bowling alley there too, but seeing that I'm not any good at it, despite all the lessons I've had in my time, the least said about it the better ! There is a wonderful shopping centre at Watford too, plus various nightclubs and pubs. There are a few pubs in Northwood, but I rarely go to any of them for a night out. Of course, a short train journey away is London itself if you're looking for a good night out.
Opposite where we live is a piece of open ground called the Hogs Back - supposedly named after the shape the lands takes when it is looked upon from an aerial view. It is woodland and that is where we tend to walk our dog. Below is a picture of our house, plus some pictures of our garden.
My room itself is a little haven. I love snuggling up in bed watching the TV, and as you can see, my room is ideal for doing just that.
Another place that is relatively close to us, where we often go to walk our dog is the Harefield Aquadrome. It consists of a group of large lakes with pretty walks in between them. I have been there a couple of times on Christmas Day itself just to relax and get away from the mahem at home ! In the summer we often get fish and chips and take them down there to eat.
