For what it's worth, below are reviews of my favourite/least favourite films. ENJOY !

Film Name: American Pie

Story Outline: When you get four young teenage boys together with the one male pre-occupation in mind, 'losing one's virginity' - an honest and affectionate look at a time in all our lives when we try our hardest to hold on to our dignity … and fail miserably. You have Jim (Jason Biggs) the unluckiest guy in the world, a healthy, red-blooded guy who is ..... desperate. Although his challenged his well-meaning dad (Eugene Levy) was there for him with a mortifying zeal to help with the sexual education of his one and only son.

But in the end there is Michelle (Alyson Hannigan), a chatty band member (and what's with Band camp) who's handy with a flute. Kevin (Thomas Ian Nicholas) is a guy who wants nothing more than to please his steady girlfriend, Vicky (Tara Reid). He has been handed the "Bible" a secret hand written manual of sexual do's and don'ts (can I have a copy), handed down from generation to generation. Oz (Chris Klein), a jock lacrosse player, who had to learn about his feminine side, before his sights could become firmly set on Heather (Mena Suvari) the beautiful co-ed who happens to be in the choir.

With Oz juggling lacrosse and the choir can he get his woman (?), will we see in the end or will it be too hard for the jock. Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas), who knows what to believe about this guy, he's legendary prowess definitely precedes him. Only Jessica (Natasha Lyonne), the voice of reason and sometimes fabricator of reality, knows the real truth (remember laxatives and a good coffee don't mix). So with the help of some class mates at East Great Falls High, this film is one of the funniest films ever ! Definitely go and see it !

Cast: Chris Owen, Thomas DeLonge, Jason Biggs, Jennifer Collidge, Shannon Elizabeth, Alyson Hannigan, Chris Klein, Clyde Kusatsu, Eugene Levy, Natasha Lyonne.

Film Name: Austin Powers 2 - The Spy Who Shagged Me

Story Outline: Two years after Mike Myers' surprise hit, Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, Myers and company are back again. This time, Myers plays three roles: the good guy Austin Powers, the nasty archenemy Dr. Evil, and Evil's helper, Fat Bastard.

Austin was a 1960s fashion photographer, babe magnet and super-spy who was put into the deep freeze in 1967, to emerge in the late 1990s. There he took on Dr. Evil and defeated him in the first movie. This time, Dr. Evil has returned, intent upon world domination. He has a plan to extort billions from the US government or blow up the world using a powerful laser (called the Allan Parsons Project) installed on the moon. To get Austin out of his way, Dr. Evil travels back in time to the '60s to steal Austin's 'mojo' (i.e. his libido) from the frozen super spy.

Cast: Mike Myers, Heather Graham, Robert Wagner, Gia Carides, Seth Green.

Film Name: Episode One - The Phantom Menace

Story Outline: In Episode I, Luke Skywalker's father is just a hopeful 9-year-old boy named Anakin, who knows nothing of his eventual fate as a Dark Lord in years to come.

In this earlier time, Obi-Wan Kenobi is a determined young Jedi Knight. Qui-Gon Jinn is Obi-Wan's venerable Jedi master, trying to teach the Jedi way to his apprentice as their world begins to unravel in political turmoil.

Episode I will take audiences through extraordinary realms and adventures, from the desert planet of Tatooine to the galactic capital world of Coruscant (with its Jedi Temple), the green world of Naboo, and beyond.

Familiar Star Wars characters Yoda, R2-D2, C-3PO, and Jabba the Hutt are along for the ride. This first chapter in the Star Wars saga follows young Anakin Skywalker's journey as he pursues his dreams and confronts his fears in the midst of a galaxy in crisis.

Despite a lot of bad publicity, I thoroughly enjoyed this film and recommend it to anyone fancying a good night out.

Cast: Liam Neeson, Ewan McGregor, Jake Lloyd, Natalie Portman, Ian McDiarmid, Pernilla August, Ray Park, Ahmed Best, Samuel L. Jackson.

Film Name: The Matrix

Story Outline: Anderson (Keanu Reeves) is a programmer, spending his days in an anonymous, grey cubicle. By night he is Neo, guilty of every computer crime on the books. Neo doesn't believe in fate, because he likes to be in control. But can he ever be? In the grey-green city there are many secrets; and in cyber space, there are stories of Morpheous, and others like himself. When the superhuman Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) contacts him, Neo is questioned by Agents (Hugo Weaving), impassively-faced, suited characters who affect dark glasses and anachronistic ear pieces. That night, Trinity takes him to Morpheous (Laurence Fishburne.

It is from this point that Neo begins to learn the truth, and what a truth it is. A post-apocalyptic science fiction nightmare where he learns the way most of my students want to be taught - direct plug to the brain.

In a well-balanced marriage of special effects (including computer animation) and wire stunts we discover with Neo the possibilities of manipulating the matrix.

Cast: Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Laurence Fishburne, Joe Pantoliano, Hugo Weaving.

His business is stagnant, he has the roommate from hell, and since his divorce, his love life is completely non-existent.

Film Name: She's All That

Story Outline: Zack Siler is the highschool heart-throb in this funny, romantic comedy. After a bet with his friends that he could turn even the freakiest girl into the schools prom queen in just six weeks, you've guessed it - Zack falls for the so called CHALLENGE, in this case a Laney Boggs, whose initial freakiness is soon forgotten with a quick makeover when she too turns out to be incredibly beautiful underneath.

Quite a predictable plot, but highly enjoyable none-the-less. Definitely one to take the man of your dreams to see !

Cast: Freddie Prinze Jr., Rachael Leigh Cook, Matthew Lilliard.

Film Name: True Crime

Story Outline: Steve Everett (Clint Eastwoood), is an investigative reporter with a lot of problems, who has past his peak. Despite the recurring complications in his own life, Everett is an excellent reporter. After reviewing the case of a man accused of murder and in death row, Everett, harried, hassled and trying not to self-destruct, has less than 12 hours to save the life of a man he knows is innocent.

Definitely a watchable film, but in my opinion, Clint is a tad old to be playing the guy who can pull ANY woman he chooses - certainly not 23 years olds !

Cast: Clint Eastwood, Isaiah Washington, Denis Leary, James Woods.

Ronny Cox plays Daniel Cahill, a father of Tierney's character. A powerful and opinionated man, Cahill tries to convince his daughter that her ex-boyfriend is much better marrying material than her current fiance (Affleck).

Film Name: Plunkett & Macleane

Story Outline: Robert Carlyle and Johnny Lee Miller re-team after Danny Boyle's cult hit, playing highwaymen who infiltrate high society only to hold up the aristocracy at gunpoint to relieve them of their valuables. Set in Eighteenth century London, but updated with some distinctly contemporary language, characters and sensibilities, not to mention music, "Plunkett and Macleane" is visually striking and highly enjoyable with predictably good performances from the two hipper-than-hip leads.

Cast: Robert Carlyle (Plunkett), Johnny Lee Miller (MacLeane), Liv Tyler (Lady Rebecca), Michael Gambon.

Film Name: Meet Joe Black

Story Outline: Meet Joe Black tells the story of media tycoon, whose charmed life and orderly household are suddenly disrupted by the arrival of an enigmatic young man named Joe Black who proceeds to fall in love with Parrish's beautiful daughter Susan. For Parrish, Susan and the rest of his family, the consequences of this romance are profound, complicated and bittersweet, for Joe Black is actually the personification of Death.

The impetus of the story would be the man's - Witliam Parrish's - assessment of his life and the astonishing appearance in his house of an otherworldly presence. The twist, however, is that the screenplay concerns itself not with any dark side of the subject but with its life-affirming aspects.

Interacting with the man prompts the otherworldly presence to assume a human form - Joe Black - so that he can learn about Parrish's life and the ways of this world, but the unthinkable occurs: Joe falls for Susan, Parrish's beautiful, forthright daughter, and experiences love in all its exquisite and painful permutations.

But for all his grace, Parrish is no pushover. No one who has achieved the power he has can be treated lightly, and Joe, upon entering this man's world, senses this. Joe understands immediately when he enters Parrish's home that here resides a great man, someone he wants to spend time with and learn from. He also senses, from the very beginning, that Parrish will be a great teacher and that he will learn much about the human condition from this man.

Cast: Brad Pitt, Anthony Hopkins, Claire Forlani, Jake Weber, Marcia Gary Harden, Jeffrey Tambor.

This is the catalyst for a series of scams in order to procure a substantial sum of money - quickly. At the same time, they are trying (unsuccessfully) not to break the law.

Concurrently, a group of upper middle-class hippies have cultivated a potent strain of cannabis which is turning into a profitable business venture.
