Not only for what you are but for what I am when I am when I'm with you For the part of me that you bring out For putting your hand into my heaped-up heart and passing over all the foolish weak things that you can't help dimly seeing there and for drawing out into the light all the beautiful belongings that no-one else had looked quite far enough to find because you are helping me to make of the lumber of my life not a Tavern but a temple out of the works of my. every-day not a reproach but a song Author Unknown . |
You cannot say You must not say That he is dead He's just away! With a cheery smile And a wave of the hand He has wandered Into another land And left us dreaming How very fair It needs must be, He lingers there. So think of him as Faring on, as dear In the love of There As in the love of Here Think of him still As the same, and say He is not dead! He's just away! Author Unknown |

I Smiled
. . . . .
.. . . .and all at once Things didn't look so bad Today I shared with someone else A bit of hope I had Today I sang a little song And felt my heart go light And walked a happy little mile With not a cloud in sight Today I worked with what I had And longed for nothing more And what had seemed like only weeds Were flowers at my door Today I loved a little more Complained a little less And in the giving of myself Author Unknown |

When tomorrow. . . .
starts without me and I'm not there to see If the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for me I wish so much you wouldn't cry the way you did today While thinking of the many things we didn't get to say I know how much you love me as much as I love you And each time you think of me I know you'll miss me too But when tomorrow starts without me please try to understand That an Angel came and called my name and took me by the hand And said my place was ready In heaven up above And said I'd have to leave behind all those I dearly love But as I turned to walk away a tear fell from my eye For all my life I'd always thought I didn't want to die I had so much to live for, so much yet to do It seemed almost impossible, that I was leaving you I thought of all the yesterdays, the good ones and the bad I thought of all the love we shared, and all the fun we had If I could relive yesterday, yet even for a while I'd say goodbye and kiss you, and maybe see you smile And then I fully realised that this could never be For emptiness and memories would take the place of me And when I thought of worldly things I might miss, come tomorrow I thought of you and when I did, my heart was filled with sorrow But when I walked through heaven's gates I felt so much at home When God looked down and smiled at me from His golden throne He said "This is eternity, and all I've promised you Today your life on earth is past, but here it starts anew So when tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart For every time you think of me, I'm right here in your heart. by Joe Casal

God made a world out of his dreams, Of wondrous mountains, oceans and streams, Prairies and plains and wooded land, Then paused and thought, "I need someone to stand on top of the mountains To conquer the seas, explore the plains and Climb the trees, someone to start small and grow, Sturdy, strong like a tree and so... He created boys, full of spirit and fun, To explore and conquer, to romp and run, With dirty faces, banged up chins With courageous hearts and boyish grins." When He had completed the task He'd begun, He surely said, "That's a job well done." Author Unknown |
Why God Made Little Girls . . . God made the world with its towering trees Majestic mountains and restless seas Then paused and said, "It needs one more thing Someone to laugh and dance and sing To walk in the woods and gather flowers To commune with nature in quiet hours." So God made little girls With laughing eyes and bouncing curls With joyful hearts and infectious smiles Enchanting ways and feminine wiles, And when He'd completed the task He'd begun, He was pleased and proud of the job He'd done For the world when seen through a little girl's eyes Greatly resembles Paradise Author Unknown |
