The MARJORYBANKSes of Perthshire are thought to have left Dumfriesshire and arrived in Perthshire after the battle of Bothwell Bridge which was 22 June 1679.  This is based on family legend that they left about the time of the Covenanter's Feud (q.v., q.v.) and Rev. George Williams.
