There were one or two errors in the information on Marjoribanks dates which I
sent you.
I became Marjoribanks Younger of that Ilk when my father became The Ilk on the
death of George Marjoribanks of that Ilk (his older brother) in 1955. Catriona
however is not 'Younger of that Ilk', she is heir presumptive because
theoretically while I am alive I could still have a son who would then become
'Younger...' Catriona is not on-line at the moment but uses an internal
company e-mail system.
My parents were married on 19 April 1938 at Morham in the county of East
Lothian.
According to my grandfather's notes, his grandfather Thomas was born in 1809,
the same year as Mary Cook. Katherine LAURIE is correct. You are welcome to
forward any of this.
