James Green, I finally brought up my chart which has been hanging downstairs
which was prepared under the auspices of Roger Marjoribanks, showing the
major branches of the family. It is framed and under glass and so cannot be
copied; moreover, it is about 24 by 36 inches or so. I will bring it with
me to Charleston, since we are travelling by car. But here is the
information you have repeatedly asked me for in the past - my
Majoribanks/Marchbanks lineage, in reverse order. Dates are omitted in part
because, alas, I am in a hurry and do not have them before me as this is
being done.
William P. Jackson, Jr. (b. July 7, 1938) - W. Paul Jackson (b. Nov 14,
1912, d. Sept 8, 1996) - Martha Frances Woods Jackson (wife of Thomas D.
Jackson) - Rev. William C. Woods - Lucinda B. Marchbanks Woods (wife of
James M. Woods)- Burwell Marchbanks - William Marchbanks - George
Marjoribanks/Marchbanks (the Jacobite) - George Marjoribanks (fl. 1680-90) -
George Marjoribanks (in 1618 Prebendary of Half Plat) - Thomas Marjoribanks
of Ratho (1550-1620) - John Marjoribanks of Ratho (d. 1550) - Thomas
Marjoribanks of Ratho (d. 1557; Lord Register of Scotland ca. 1542-45).
You probably should have the birth and death dates from Burwell back to
George the Jacobite in other records you have posted, and I may have given
you some others in partial responses earlier. And now to work!
