Pepsi and their Harrier Ad
By: Bobby Defibaugh

Remember the Pepsi points commercial where at the end the Teenager flew a Harrier Jet to school.. At the bottom of the screen it said 7,000,000 points.. Pepsi probably figured that nobody would be able to get 7 million Pepsi points in time... They were wrong.. John Leonard a 21-year old business student. Leonard apparently REALLY wanting this Harrier jet.. He called Pepsi and asked about buying Pepsi points.. They told him he could by Pepsi points for 10 cents each.. He got 5 investors to sponsor $700,000 dollars for him to get his Harrier jet.. With 15 original Pepsi points that Leonard had earned along with $700,008.50 including shipping and handling he presented this to Pepsi.. They refused to give him what he had won.. After Leonard threatened to sue, Pepsi filed a pre-emptive law suit.. As of yet nothing else has been released on the subject..

Back to School
By: Bobby Defibaugh

Well school is coming.. On Tuesday September 3, 1996 public school will be back in session for another school term.. Private school started on Monday August 26, 1996, and had a full week of half days... The reason school is starting so late for the public school kids this year is because of school maintenance.. The state finally decided to get up off of some of there money and fix our old schools.. A few schools that are receiving work are Kelly Miller, Fairfield Primary, and Geiger Elementary.. With our extended summer this year we will also be getting out about two weeks later in the summer of 97.. For all of you students going back to school Good Luck..
