Credit Issues

Rebuilding your credit takes alot of time and determination.  Divorce is always hard on credit, his and yours.  You need to build or make your own credit history that does not include
your former spouse.

A few things to remember:
Always have your ex removed from any cards that are issued in your name or have your name removed from your former spouses cards.

Also, tell the company's in which you are the primary card holder, that your are seperated -divorced and you do not want any information given to your ex regarding your account.  If by chance, they will not remove your or his name from card, request that your/his user status be frozen (no longer active).

If you are planning to move out/leave, be sure to write down all credit card acct. numbers and phone numbers for future contact prior to your departure.

Lastly, Make sure you take the name of the person you spoke to and the date request was made and keep in a safe place for future reference.
