Florence, Morgan county, Missouri

The city of Florence was founded in 1832, but was called Williamsville until about 1839.  The June 1860 census lists 50 persons in 14 households. The heds of households were:

Chales Steinbach, merchant
John Hummel, potter
Born, Englebert, pottery laborer
Reed, James R., pottery laborer
Fisher, Charles H., blacksmith
Hook, James, merchant
Bremer, Louis, blacksmith
